Omakase
Follow Komo the freshwater fish in starting your restaurant, and delve deeper into the ocean to gather ingredients. Use these ingredients to cook meals and serve them to earn money.
Start exploring in Komo's freshwater pond under his restaurant and try to buy some upgrades before heading into the saltwater ocean, since goldfish can't drink saltwater!
This game was initially created for Fish Fest, hosted by PossibilyAxolotl on itch.io. This game is a prototype of Omakase. Further development of this game is underway, but there are no currently plans to release any more major updates here on itch.io for now.

Controls
Currently, only supports mouse & keyboard inputs
- Use WASD to move.
- Use E to open your inventory
- Use R to interact. You can interact with...
- Ingredients to pick them up
- Your various kitchen tools to use them
- The serving window to the right of your restaurant to serve your cooked dishes
- The boat shop to purchase upgrades
- Scroll dialogue
- When a menu is open (i.e. inventory), you can left-click on items to drop/move/equip them, if applicable. You can also right-click to move a whole stack.
Mechanics
- Exploring: find ingredients in the depths of the ocean, but keep an eye on your freshwater meter on the top left of the screen.
- Experimental Cooking: cook recipes using the tools in your restaurant with the ingredients you find, and serve them to customers for money.
- Upgrades: shop for better kitchen equipment or diving equipment. You will need better gear to go lower into the ocean, and more kitchen tools to cook a wider variety of meals.

Known Issues:
- There are some WebGL limitations, listed below. Please play the Mac/Window downloads for the intended experience!
- There should be a music filter applied when you are underwater, which does not work on the WebGL build.
Further Game Notes:
- There are pockets of freshwater throughout the ocean you can use to refresh your freshwater meter
- Diving deeper than the depth level your helmet can handle will cause cracks to form in your helmet, and make your fresh water meter decrease noticeably faster. However, you will not pass out immediately.
- You cannot serve meals when a customer is not standing outside the serving window, although you can serve as many meals to a single customer as you want, and they will happily pay for it all!
- <SPOILER> The intention of this game is to figure recipes out as you go, but if you’re having trouble getting started, here are some recipes:

i tried to play the game but got super confused i gathered a ton of random green stuff walked around for a bit and suffocated in water as a fish? I'm just confused
